Three little ducks...

...following Papa Duck.  Here's my family climbing over the slippery rocks at Erskine Falls earlier this year:

You might not be able to make it out, but Elouise is bending over and as usual, exposing some crack. It's a bit of a joke in our family now - "There's Lou's crack again!"

This layout was made using the Half Tart kit from Lime Tart, and you can see the whole thing in the gallery.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Lime Tart Layout

This is one of the layouts I did for Lime Tart this month:

I'm loving the yellow and red colour scheme!  The Half Tart kit also contained some jute ric-rac which helped tone the brightness down a little.  The Sassafras button flowers matched perfectly!

I tried matching up the background in the photos a little so that it almost looks continuous, and I put a filter on the photos, and vignetted them before printing for a different look; although if I remember correctly, the sky really was that colour that wonderful afternoon in December.

Thanks for looking!

April at Lime Tart

The gallery is now open at Lime Tart.  Once again the girls have blown me away with their awesomeness.  Check this out from Julie:

Julie is one of my favourite cardmakers.

And here's one from Rachael:

it's so pretty!

And this is one of my cards - an easel card:

and this is a card from Philippa:

Motivet stamps and Philippa's colouring with Copics - a match made in heaven.

Pop on over to the gallery now, and while you're there, have a good look at the kits - they won't be there for long!

Girly girl card

I made this card for the current challenge on the Stampotique Designers Challenge blog:

I used the Moth Fab Stampotique image, coloured her with my Copics and added some stickles to her purse.  The ribbon is seam binding I dyed myself with a Twiddleybitz colour spray, and the swirly image is by Tim Holtz.

Here's a close up:

Mum card published

Woo hoo!  My contributor copy of Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft arrived today, and I have this card on page 25:

I used AnnaBelle Stamps Mum's Flowers and some Sprinkles too.

Here's the cover of the magazine:

Philippa and Rachael from Lime Tart also have cards in there, so this is an extra special issue for me :)

AnnaBelle Sketch #19

Here's the sketch for this fortnight's challenge:

I thought I'd use some of the new flowers and gems from the White Petals kit and the stamps are from the Flowers with Love set:

I used my Copic markers to colour in the little flower:

If you decide to play along in this fortnight's challenge, you could win yourself some of the beautiful new ribbon for sale at AnnaBelle Stamps:

The ribbon is sold in one metre lengths, and comes packed on handy storage cards.

As always, the design team have done a fabulous job with the sketch.  You can see their creations, as well as information about joining the challenge yourself on the blog.  Remember, you don't need to use your AnnaBelle stamps if you don't own any yet :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Home

This is a wall hanging I made with Twiddleybitz products:

I used the frame from around the inchies in a Tweenybitz pack for the window, crackle paint on the fence (the colour is called Picket Fences of course!), and an EK Success punch for the shrubbery.

Here's a close up:

Can you make out the crackle on the fence?

The matt black on the Twiddley groove alpha is achieved simply by colouring the chipboard with a fat black texta - the one I use for labelling parcels.  You can save yourself the trouble though - it also comes in black!

Thanks for looking!  You can see this project and more on the Twiddleybitz Ning.

Twiddleybitz Trade Class

Last Tuesday, I had the pleasure of teaching a trade class with the amazing Beck Beattie for Twiddleybitz.  It was on the other side of the world city to where I live, so it was a bit of an adventure for me - I've never been to Point Cook before.  Fortunately I had my Navman telling me I'd made the wrong turn (often) - the Navman has never worked so hard in its life LOL.

Beck led the class through one of her beautiful layouts using Twiddleybitz products, and then I showed everyone how to put together a Funky Townhouse.  Here's a pic of me concentrating very hard:

and here's Beck holding her gorgeous layout and the 12x12 frame she made at Paperific last year:

You can see a close up of the layout on the Twiddleybitz Ning

Details of our next trade class will be up on the Ning shortly.  It'll be on the East side of Melbourne and in the evening, so if you're a store owner and stock Twiddleybitz (or would like to), then email me and register your interest.  The classes are fantastic value, and you're welcome to take it back to your store and teach it yourself, or alternatively, both Beck and myself are available to teach in your store.  I look forward to sharing the latest from Twiddleybitz.

Rachel's birthday

I'd like to share the card I made for Rachel's birthday a couple of weeks ago.  Don't panic - I got the card to her in time, it's just taken me this long to blog about it.

Here it is:
I used paper from my new Basic Grey Green at Heart 6x6 pad, and the stamp and cupcake are from Sassafras Lass.  The rub on words are Melissa Frances. The card was cut using my Nestabilities.

The cake I made was a hit.  Thanks to Jennifer Graham of Crabapple Bakery for her words of encouragement, I got this done in about half an hour.  The cake inside was Green's Buttercake, and delicious!

Rachel was delighted, as any little girl should be when it's a pink cake with flowers on it just for her!

Say it with.....

...flowers.  That's the design team theme this week at AnnaBelle Stamps. With all the new release products, this theme was absolutley no problem!

I used stamps from the Mum's flowers set.  The flowers and gems are from the new Pink Petals kit.

Here's a close up:

I've layered different sized flowers on top of stamped flowers for a piled up look.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Easter Break.  I for one am doing my best to eat EVERY hot cross bun I see - I'd hate for any to go to waste LOL.

I've got heaps of blogging to catch up on, so you'll be hearing from me soon.

Bombshell exposure

I was recently published in Take Ten using stamps from a company called Bombshell Stamps.  Gorgeous vintage retro tattoo type images - you really need to check them out. I've got their banner in my sidebar to the right.

The owner of Bombshell asked if I would like to be interviewed for their monthly Crafty People Places Things feature, and I'm just a girl who can't say no!

You can see the interview I did with Kathi here in the newsletter, and while you're there, check out the stamps and sign up for the newsletter.
