This is my project for today - an advent calendar with Winter Snowglobe Girl from 100 Proof Press taking centre stage:

Here's how I put it together:

Step 1
I started with a piece of corrugated cardboard and I stripped the top layer off to expose the corrugations.

Then I gave it a thin coat of white gesso: 

 
Step 2
I stamped Winter Snowglobe Girl onto watercolour paper, cut her our with an oval die and coloured her in with watercolour pencils

 

 
Step 3
I then cut a decorative oval from glitter card with a Spellbinders die, and adhered the coloured image to it:

 

 
Step 4
I then cut some numbers from the glitter card using Tim Holtz's WordPlay die, and adhered them to squares I cut from white card:

 

Step 5
Once the gesso dried, I adhered a piece of patterned paper (Authentique Peaceful range), and adhered the image in place.

Step 6
I then used my sewing machine to attach some black ric rac trim.

I attached some Tim Holtz clips to the ric rac to hold the numbers in place:

Halloween projects with 100 Proof Press stamps

This is one holiday I really wish we would celebrate more in Australia! I love the craft associated with it :)

I have some more Halloween projects to share using 100 Proof Press stamps. If you missed the last batch, you can find them here.

First up is a card using Trick or Treat Silhouette on a Distress Ink background:

Next is a bookmark using Edgar Allen Poe:

 

So that all the paper had that delicious aged look that can only come from an old book, I found a blank page in an old book and stamped Edgar onto it, and then printed the quote onto it with my computer printer. There's something about a literary figure on a bookmark that makes me smile.

 

Last of all is the Large Raven, stamped on patterned paper and placed in a nest with a couple of eggs. I have this nest perched on top of a stack of old books in my entry hallway:

Snow Globe Girl card

I had fun making this card:

Meet Winter Snow Globe Girl from 100 Proof Press. She has a snow scene inside her dress, which was begging to be made into a little shaker card. Here's a side view which shows the depth of the window that contains some silver FlowerSoft.

 

I coloured the image with Distress Markers for a soft, watercolour look, and highlighted parts of her dress with Stickles.

Halloween crafting with 100 Proof Press

One of the things I like most about working with a US company is the opportunity to do some Halloween projects. Here are some things I put together using 100 Proof Press stamps:

 

All of the patterned papers come from my Authentique Glowing 6x6 pad - love this colour combination! 

 

Here's a close up of the card. I used the Jumping Skeleton image with the Trick or Treat words. I also lightly stamped the Profit and Loss sheet in the background. The fancy element behind the words is a Spellbinders die : 

 

Here's the Moo card.  I used Spooking in a Nightshirt over the Profit and Loss Sheet background.  The little letters are from Prima:

Last but not least, here's the tag close up.  I used Flying Bat on the centre of the rosette, Trick or Treat words and the Witches on Broom border.

Sugar Skull Love

Check out this new image from 100 Proof Press:

 

Sugar Skull is her name - isn't she grotesquely lovely? I think my favourite bit are the stitches on the sides of her mouth. The words are a new stamp as well - a beautifully inspiring clause that matches this image perfectly.

 

I coloured her with my Distress Markers, and just a hint of blue watercolour pencil in the background. I also added some red Stickles to the roses:

Beautiful You Girl Card

Here's a girly card that's suitable for lots of occasions:

 

The beautiful image is a new one from 100 Proof Press called Girl with Pet Racoon. The papers are from the Vintage Bliss 6x6 pad by Simple Stories. I wanted a soft coloured look, so I grabbed my Distress Markers and waterbrush.  Here's a close up:

Fathers' Day Card with 100 Proof Press

Now I know this stamp is called "Mama and Baby Racoon" but using a more neutral colour scheme, I made a Fathers' Day card and I 'racoon' I got away with it LOL:

(C'mon people! Even my 13 year old son snorted at my play on words hee hee).

The image and word stamps are available through 100 Proof Press. I coloured it using Distress Inks.

100 Proof Press - Ginko & Lanterns set

I'm back showcasing another fantastic set of stamps from 100 Proof Press. This time it's the Ginko & Lanterns set, with lots of very handy images for oriental themed projects.

Here's the first card in the very calming colour combination of green and white:

 

This would be fantastic to accompany a gift card for a relaxing massage (dropping major hints here LOL).

 

On this next card I stamped and embossed the lotus image, masked it, then stamped the background. I added some micro beads to the centre of the flower for extra interest:

100 Proof Press - Daydreaming Mermaid set

100 Proof Press have released an awesome set of stamps called Daydreaming Mermaid. For $29.50, you get a total of 8 excellent quality stamps.  I have a couple of cards I made with the set to show you.

I prepared an alcohol ink background for this first card, and then added torn layers of it to the front of the card:

Love this row of shells - all lined up museum style (I think it appeals to the scientist in me LOL). I made my own colour spray with a Distress Ink reinker, and added some splashes of brown in the background. Love how crisply these images stamp up:

Celebrate Life invitation

Most of our celebrations involve food, so when I saw this image from 100 Proof Press, I thought it would make an awesome afternoon tea invitation:

His name is Angel Baker, and I coloured parts of the image lightly with Distress Markers. The beautiful papers are from Pion, and I added some seam binding at the top of the tag which I coloured with Distress Marker.

Mmmmm....the smell of baked goods is filling the air!

Count your blessings card

Loving the feather trend at the moment! Here's a card using the Small Feather from 100 Proof Press:

I stamped the feather in a different Distress Ink colour each time to create a rainbow of feathers. It should cheer someone's day right up!

Male birthday card

This image from 100 Proof Press just makes me laugh:

It's The Three Stooges! We took the kids to see the movie some time back, and we all loved it. I computer generated the sentiment, and I'm putting this card away for someone's birthday :) but it could also be used for Fathers'Day.

I used some dark paper in the background and spattered it with some Dylusions spray (love how WHITE it is!). Then I made strips out of some stripe paper (only because I didn't have my stripey washi tape on me at the time). A sprinkle of sequins completes the card.

Dream come true card

I've been dying to use this Sleeping Fairy Girl Label image for a while. She had to sit atop something, but I also wanted her beautiful wings protected from being crushed in the post. Then I remembered I know how to make one of these accordion cards:

I cut the Sleeping Fairy Girl from the label, and coloured her in with Distress Markers and a water brush.

The beautiful patterned paper is by Pion, and I stamped the Profit and Loss Sheet in the background with some pale co-ordinating ink. The alpha stickers are by Prima.

This card is going to someone who has just had some good news in the baby department :)

It's all about you!

I found this awesome image in 100 Proof Press's extensive catalogue:

Isn't she sweet? She's called Girl Playing Dress Up, and I stamped the image, masked it and then put the Film Strip in the background. The image is coloured with Distress Markers, and the alpha stickers are by Prima. I found the feather when I was out on a walk, and I thought it matched the Teresa Collins patterned paper perfectly (try saying that five times fast LOL).
