Father's Day card

I folks! Here's a card I made using products from Craftie Cafe for Father's Day:

Although this one is for Father's Day, it would be easy to change the sentiment and make it for any occasion when a masculine card is required.

I made a video of the process, and you can find it on YouTube.

Here's a close up of the card:

Craftie Cafe supplies:
Distress Oxide ink: Vintage Photo, Broken China, Faded Jeans

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy father's day to all the dads out there!

Calico Gift Bag for Father's Day

We've got Father's Day coming in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd make a couple of calico gift bags for my design team project for Craftie Cafe:

I used Ken Oliver's Color Burst powders through his Boston Terrier stencil and I just LOVE the result:

I made a video showing the process and you can see it on YouTube.

Other supplies:
Spray bottle for water

Fathers' Day Card with 100 Proof Press

Now I know this stamp is called "Mama and Baby Racoon" but using a more neutral colour scheme, I made a Fathers' Day card and I 'racoon' I got away with it LOL:

(C'mon people! Even my 13 year old son snorted at my play on words hee hee).

The image and word stamps are available through 100 Proof Press. I coloured it using Distress Inks.

Happy Fathers' Day to all the dads out there!

Male birthday card

This image from 100 Proof Press just makes me laugh:

It's The Three Stooges! We took the kids to see the movie some time back, and we all loved it. I computer generated the sentiment, and I'm putting this card away for someone's birthday :) but it could also be used for Fathers'Day.

I used some dark paper in the background and spattered it with some Dylusions spray (love how WHITE it is!). Then I made strips out of some stripe paper (only because I didn't have my stripey washi tape on me at the time). A sprinkle of sequins completes the card.

Here's the cover:

You can click on the image above to be taken to the Craftlovers website.
I have a couple of cards in there. One is a Father's Day card:

and one is based on a sketch:

I used Darkroom Door stamps on each of these - the starfish is from Seashells set, and the Thanks is from the Bold Blossoms set.  Anything else you want to know, please ask. Or better still, check out the magazine :)

Thanks for dropping in today.

Cards for Dad

Seeing as it's Father's Day in many parts of the world real soon, I thought I'd whip up a couple of cards for the occasion. Stamps are by Odd Bird Planet:

The good news is that these images are on special.

Read all about the Odd Bird Planet sale here. Now go forth and buy stamps!

a card for Dad

This is the design I've settled on for Father's Day next Sunday.

I used Kelly's Owl in a Hole small, and For you by justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet. I coloured the image in with my Copics, punched it out with a circle punch, then used the same punch to make a hole in the card front. I then glued the image onto the inside of the card through the hole so that it lined up perfectly.

Now I'll get each of the kids to make the same card of their own with minimal help - let's see what they can do! Sammy is going to love it!

Hoot!

This is a card using one of the justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet stamps from the August special deal, which is also available through Lime Tart. I thought I'd make a start playing with Father's Day designs - in Australia it's the first Sunday in September. You all know how I like to be organised (stop laughing - I will get organised one day......it's on the top of the to-do list).
