Fish Wishes Card Set

Howdy folks! I have another video to share that I made using products from Craftie Cafe. I made a set of cards using a Memory Box stamp set and some Distress Oxide Inks:

This set of stamps  is the 'shadows' and the outlines are available separately. I chose the shadows because I can blend the Distress Oxide colours so well on the solid stamps.

You can see the video of how I put these cards together over on YouTube.

Thanks for looking!

Lawn Fawn Unicorn Baby Cards

Hi folks! I'm back with another couple of baby cards for Craftie Cafe.

This time I have used the Winter Unicorn stamp and die from Lawn Fawn to make a card for a baby girl:

then it was a simple matter of swapping out some of the colours to make it into a boy card:

I made a video of the process, and you can see it here on YouTube.

The products I have used are listed below:

A Baby Card

Hi folks! I've created a card to celebrate the arrival of a baby girl using products from Craftie Cafe:

I used Distress Oxide inks for this card - not only do they blend really well, they're great to stamp with too, giving a nice sharp line and great detail.  I've made this card pink because I needed a baby girl card, but you could easily just swap out the colours to make it a baby boy card or even a gender neutral card.

I made a video of the process, and you can see it on YouTube here.

Here's a list of the products I used:

Halloween themed invitation

Howdy folks!

I have created a Halloween themed invitation I plan to give to my neighbours toward the end of October. Over the fence seems to be the only way we catch up these days with all of us so busy!

I also made a video of the process, and you can find this on YouTube

All products are from Craftie Cafe. I have used a Wplus9 stamp set called Bunny Mask-erade, a Taylored Expressions embossing folder called Woodgrain, and a few Distress Oxide inks.

I fussy cut the little characters by hand, but there's also a die set available for this stamp set - it certainly would have saved me some time!

Thanks for looking!

Father's Day card

I folks! Here's a card I made using products from Craftie Cafe for Father's Day:

Although this one is for Father's Day, it would be easy to change the sentiment and make it for any occasion when a masculine card is required.

I made a video of the process, and you can find it on YouTube.

Here's a close up of the card:

Good Luck Shaker Card

Hiya crafty friends!

I have a card to share that I made using products from Craftie Cafe:

I used Ken Oliver's Color Burst Powders (well, one in particular - Terre Verte), an Avery Elle die called Horizontal Stripes, and another die from Memory Box called Lucky Charms.

Here's a close up so you can see the Lucky Charms - all the little clover shapes I die cut from green cardstock to pop into the shaker:

You can also see the awesome effect of the Color Burst Powders - all of the Earthtone powders have little pops of other colours in them - see the red, yellow and blue in the photo above?

I have made a little video to show you the process and you can see it on YouTube.

Thanks for dropping in today - have a lovely weekend!

A wedding card using Avery Elle and Lawn Fawn

Hi folks! I'm back with another wedding card using products from Craftie Cafe:

I have made this card for a wedding, but it could easily be modified as a congratulations card for any other occasion. It would also be easy to customise the colour scheme - simply change the colours of Distress Oxide ink.

I have made a video of the process, and it can be found on You Tube.

Check out all of that lovely dimension:

Wedding card with MFT stamps

Hi folks!

The Craftie Cafe team are featuring Wedding and congratulations cards this month. Using some really cute My Favorite Things stamps and dies, I created this wedding card:

Here's the stamp set and matching dies:

I often deliberate about buying the matching dies - some images are pretty easy to cut out with scissors, but when they're even slightly complicated, I always add the matching dies to my cart.

Here's how the card came together:

Step 1
I stamped a couple of the dog images from the Top Dog stamp set using a waterproof ink onto some mixed media cardstock. I have some Distress Inks and a waterbrush ready to go.

Step 2
I like to work small areas at a time, wetting it lightly with my waterbrush, then adding small amounts of colour at a time and allowing it to spread in the water. I used Pumice Stone ink for the dog bodies, Tattered Rose to add some colour to the cheeks, Festive Berries for the hearts and Lucky Clover for the bow and scarf. When these were dry I cut the shapes out using the corresponding dies. I just cut the hearts by hand with scissors.

Step 3
I created a background using Broken China ink - smooshing the ink pad onto an acrylic block, spritzing with water then smooshing it onto some watercolour paper. I repeated the process to add some variation and depth to the colour. I trimmed an 8 x 12cm piece for the background of the card, then used this edge piece with some scanty Broken China to stamp and die cut some clouds.

Step 4
One of the things I remember most about my wedding is all the photos that were taken. I thought it would be fun to add a polaroid frame to my card, so I cut a rectangle from white cardstock, then cut a window out of it with a square die:

Step5
Once I had most of my pieces stamped, die cut and ready to roll, I added some foam mounting tape to the back and assembled everything onto the background piece:

Step 6
Of course, there's too many elements to have them all fit into the polaroid frame, so I find it fun to have some components overlapping and overhanging the edge of the borders. Here's one of the dogs with its front paws sitting over the frame, and its behind protruding beyond the background piece:

Step 7
The bottom of the polaroid frame gave me some room for a sentiment so I used the Lawn Fawn Big Scripty Words stamp and die set  to create the 'congrats' sentiment:

If you look really closely, you can see that I have had to label my Big Scripty Words dies because I was having trouble identifying them. I did this with a permanent marker - now I have no trouble choosing the correct die....as long as I can find my glasses LOL.

Here's the card again, and a list of all the supplies I used:

Christmas Placecards with Chameleon Pens

Hi there crafty people! I have another project to share that I made using products from Craftie Cafe - a set of placecards:

Placecards are a nice touch for a celebratory/formal dinner,  and it's nice when the guests take their placecard home with them when they leave as a little memento of the evening.

I used Chameleon Pens to colour the names stamped with Lawn Fawn's Quin's ABC stamp set. I haven't used the Chameleon Pens in the traditional way - I have used the colourless blender to pick some colour up and apply it - much like a watercolour brush.

Here's a close up :

Silver tinsel trim and some diamentes finish each placecard off.

I made a short video of the process and you can see that here on YouTube.

Stamped Background made with Little Stamps

Hello crafty friends!

Today I'm sharing a card and wrapping paper set I made using all those little stamps that come in sets that I never know what to do with:

The stamps are from Craftie Cafe - Waffle Flower Wild and Free and Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy.

Here's a close up:

It was so much fun working out which colour ink would go where. I have made a video to show some of the process - pop over to YouTube and watch it if you like.
