It's always a special thrill when one of my creations makes the front! That's my sea-themed card on the left with the starfish.

An exciting arrival

After a couple of months of waiting, it finally arrived - my contributor copy of Somerset Studio Gallery Summer 2013.

 

 

Isn't it beautiful? And inside is a total of four pages dedicated to this project:

 

So much fun to collaborate with two very talented people - Greta Young and Micky Choo. I'm so thrilled with they way Stampington has shown our project too - lots of amazing close ups. Makes me want to do it again Greta ;)

A bit published....

I'm thinking of getting a letterbox with a bigger mouth so that our postman has no reason to bend magazines when they arrive. I think he does it to tick me off now, ever since I waited for him on the other side of the road to give him a letter he dropped off here that was actually for number 13. We are number 3. Anyway, back to blowing my own trumpet:

I've been so busy, I haven't had time to look through them properly.  I'm going to make a date with them, and it will involve a huuuuuge cup of tea, a nice bit of cake and no one else around. February 16th 2025 is looking good at this stage!

I was getting really impatient for July 20 - the release date of Issue 15 of Australian Scrapbook Ideas. It has one of my favourite scrapbookers Beck Beattie's layout on the cover.

I have three layouts in my first issue as a member of the Design Team.  My brief was to create some layouts using frames.  Here they are:

I love this magazine for its detailed instructions - you can find out step by step how each layout was created. Plus, every product used is listed so no more guess work :)

My children weren't as impress with the layouts as they were seeing my photo and blurb under the heading "Designer hall of fame"LOL

So excited to be a part of this fantastic team. I look forward to many more contributions.
