Surprise Card

I have a fun card to share today:

This is the Chinrahvo in a Teacup from 100 Proof Press stamps. Isn't he gorgeous?

The word is an SRM sticker. I thought it was apt - I'd imagine you would get a surprise finding a chihuahua in your teacup!

This is quite the mash up of patterned papers - 2 different ranges of Carta Bella together with JilliBean Soup. So nice having a colourful scrap box to go through. The banner is a Whiff of Joy die, and the flower centres are Sprinkles from AnnaBelle Stamps.

Thanks for looking!

AnnaBelle Sketch #34

Here's the sketch:
and here's my card:

I used the new All Things Grow set of stamps with a couple of green and pink dye inks. Here's a close up:

You can see the two-toned leaves better in that shot. I used some Blossom Sprinkles, and the papers are Basic Grey.

Pop around to the blogs of the rest of the design team:

This will be my last card as a design team member for AnnaBelle Stamps, as I have decided to step down. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with AnnaBelle Stamps. Andrea is a lovely, warm and generous person to work for, the rest of the team is very supportive and encouraging, and oh my goodness - the girls she has just appointed to the team are so talented. They will do a fabulous job I'm sure.

Thank you for following my AnnaBelle Stamps work - there are some awesome stamp sets in the pipeline, so I do hope you'll keep track of them all on the AnnaBelle Stamps blog.

Say it with....

...emboss resist! That's the challenge at the AnnaBelle Stamps blog this week.  Here's my card:

I used stamps from  the set called Santa's Star.  I embossed them onto white cardstock with clear embossing powder, then I sponged three different colours of ink over the top. Once the ink was on, I sprinkled droplets of water on top to create a subtle background pattern.  I loved this technique!  The word came from the set called Teresa's Numbers (yes - MY numbers LOL!). The word was embossed and sponged the same way the background was, but then I used my aquash brush to clear the letters out a little and help them stand out.  A couple of eyelets and some blue/white stripey twine finished off the card.

Pop around to see what the rest of the AnnaBelle Stamps design team did with the challenge:

and remember that if you play along, you'll put yourself in the running to win our monthly prize of a voucher to spend in store. The more challenges you enter, the more chances you'll have of winning!

AnnaBelle Stamps new release - All Things Grow

Wahoo! It's the 15th, and time for a new release set!  Here's the set called All Things Grow:

Something for everyone in this set.  Here is my fist card:

I've taken some of the grasses and turned them on their sides for a bit of a swag look. The green doily was die cut with my new Nestabilities set, and I added some Sprinkles for a bit of sparkle. I used a couple of different inks - a light green dye ink and a darker green StazOn, so I could stamp the butterfly under the words. The light green dye ink has shown up a little more yellow in the photo than it is in real life, but trust me, it all matches nicely.

Here's my second card:

I made the background with alcohol inks on glossy white cardstock. I love doing these backgrounds! This stamp set was perfect for stamping over the top.

This stamp set is available for purchase NOW at the AnnaBelle Stamps store, and if you purchase within the next 24 hours (you have until midday 16th January, Melbourne time) you score yourself free postage!

As usual with any AnnaBelle Stamps release, we have a bit of a blog hop. Your next stop is Sue. If you've arrived here at my blog directly and would like to start at the beginning, you can click here to be taken to the AnnaBelle Stamps blog.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you leave me.

Say it with.....a recipe!

This week's challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps involves a bit of a 1,2,3 recipe - one border stamp, two petals and three sprinkles.

Here's my sample:

The stamp comes from the Backgrounds by Design 1 set and the petals are from the Petal White Pack. The Sprinkles are Chilli red. The paper is Cosmo Cricket - just a little scrap of it was all that was required. I found a little scrap of denim I wanted to put on the card on my desk. I'm loving the red white blue combination - well in time for Australia Day later this month ;).

I've left the card without a sentiment for now - when I go to use it, I'll stamp something on the inside.

We'd love you to play along. Check out the details on the AnnaBelle Stamps blog. Each time you enter a challenge your name goes into a hat for a prize at the end of the month. Sure hope you play along!

One more, and then I'll go.....

I almost forgot - it's time for another monthly sketch at AnnaBelle Stamps.  We're up to sketch number 33, and here it is:

Here's my card:

As you can see, I spun the sketch around so that the words are now at the top. I thought I'd make a little boy's birthday card using the adorable L'il Monster's Balloon stamp set, which happens to be on special at the moment ;)

I used papers from Kaisercraft, some Copic colouring and some paper piecing. I added some silver metallic sprinkles at the bottom right instead of the top right.  To add some extra sparkle, I used my Spica marker on the balloon:

Why not have a go at the sketch yourself? You could win yourself a neat little prize, like a voucher to spend in the store! You can find details on how to enter on the AnnaBelle Stamps blog.

Thanks for looking in! I promise this is the last for 2010. I'll be back soon in the new year.

AnnaBelle Stamps New Release

Welcome to the very last release for the year from AnnaBelle Stamps.  It's called Backgrounds by Design 2, and here it is:

As usual with our new releases, we have a blog hop around the blogs of the design team members, so if you'd like to start at the very beginning, you'll need to pop over to the AnnaBelle Stamps blog now.

I have wanted a border/background stamp like the one on the very left for the longest time!  Here's what I did with it:

I added some Lagoon Sprinkles to some of the dots - it's such a bright and fresh look. The Lagoon Sprinkles were a perfect match for my Teal StazOn ink.  Here's a close up:

The words are from the Branch Out set.

I couldn't stop at just one card this time, so here's a very different look for my second card:

A little bit Gothic, isn't it? I embossed the border and words for extra pop with clear embossing powder. The border punched on the bottom was done with a Martha Stewart punch, and I stitched around the top with my sewing machine. Here's a close up:

 See the shine? Woo!

The words came from one of AnnaBelle Stamps very early sets called Holly Branch.  The vintage font was perfect for this card.

This set as well as the one we previewed on Wednesday will be available for purchase from today in the shop.

Thanks for stopping by, and for any comments you care to leave.  Ooh - just a reminder to leave comments as you hop around the design team blogs - you could win this new set.  The next stop on the hop is Sue.

AnnaBelle Stamps New Release - Stemmed Flowers

Wahoo! It's the 15th of the month and time for another new release from AnnaBelle Stamps.  As usual, we'll put on a bit of a blog hop, so if you'd like to start from the beginning, pop over to the AnnaBelle Stamps blog now.

Here's the new set called Stemmed Flowers:

It will be available for purchase later this week along with another set we'll be previewing on Friday.

I had a little play with the flowers, and here's my card:

I used three of the little flower images to create the background, then I stamped a larger flower and a smaller flower, cut them out and made an embellishment with a peach Sprinkle in the centre.  The word is from the set called Teresa's Numbers. I left the 'o' at the end uninked, and replaced it with another little flower.

Thanks for looking, and don't forget to pop back in a couple of days for yet another new set!

The next stop on the hop is Sue - you're going to love her projects!

AnnaBelle Sketch #32

Here's our monthly sketch:

and here's my card:

Sometimes I like to "Christmatise" stamp sets (ie make Christmas cards from non-Christmas stamps).  This is the set I used:

It's called Branch Out.  Here's a close up of my card:

I stamped the images with brown Memento, and used Copics to colour them in (E43 and E44).  To finish the card off, I used some Metallic Cocoa Sprinkles.

If you'd like to use this sketch to make a card, why not pop a link to your card here on the AnnaBelle Stamps blog. You could win a $20 voucher to the AnnaBelle Stamps store.

Say it with....

...red and green.  That's the theme this week at AnnaBelle Stamps.  Here's my card:

I have used Michelle with Teddy for the main image, and I added a couple of the little images (words, teddy's hat and holly) from Hooo Loves Christmas. I used Copics to colour the images (of course!).

Don't forget to check out the blogs from the rest of the design team, and remember, each challenge you enter and link up to the AnnaBelle Stamps blog gets you an entry into the monthly prize draw.

AnnaBelle Stamps Borders 1 release

Hi there! I'm back with the second of two sets being release this month.  This one is a very handy set called Borders 1:
Here's my first card:

I used one of the borders to stamp a swag. Notice it isn't straight? I gave the border a bit of a wave (these are flexible acrylic unmounted stamps - you can do stuff like that LOL). The wave meant that the entire border fit onto the card front. I added a couple of leaves die cut from felt, and a red spiral rose.  The ribbon is seam binding I dyed myself, and the sentiment came from the other set we previewed this month called Christmas Wish.

I used the spotty border from this set for my next card:

Because these stamps are see through, I was able to position the border to make a seamlessly continuous background. I also stamped the twill trim.   This is another mini card - it's so cute - it fits in the palm of my hand. The word comes from the set called Teresa's Numbers.

Thanks for stopping by.  You've actually landed in the middle of a blog hop. Your next stop is Sue's blog, but if you've joined us half way through, you might like to start at the very beginning on the design team blog. Remember to leave a comment at each stop to be in the draw to win this set.

The stamps are now available in the shop, so pop on over and tell 'em Teresa sent ya ;)

AnnaBelle Stamps Christmas Wish release

Here's the stamp set:

Lots of possibilities for those last minute Christmas projects. Here's a quick and easy card:

I stamped the ornate vintage frame onto some Teresa Collins paper using Saddle Brown StazOn ink, punched out the inner circle, mounted it onto some red paper, and stuck some little music paper behind the window.

Here's an idea for some mini cards or gift tags:

You can get four of these little cards out of an A4 sheet of cardstock (just to give you an idea of their size).

As usual for every new release at AnnaBelle Stamps, the design team participate in a blog hop.  You can pop into Sue's blog now, or start at the start on Andrea's blog.  Be sure to leave a comment at every stop to be eligible to win this gorgeous set.

I'm off to play with the next set we're releasing tomorrow (17th November).  Be sure to stop by then!
