AnnaBelle Stamps - Sketch #27

Well hello out there!  I know, I know, I haven't updated my blog in ages.  I've been busy.  Really busy.  I'll update soon, but for now, I've got a card to share.  It's inspiration for AnnaBelle Stamps Bling Challenge, and here's the sketch:

Here's my card:

I've used stamps from one of the brand new releases - the Branch Out set. I love the shape of the branch; I've used it to make the background on this card. White ink on kraft cardstock......mmmmmmm.

Hope you'll play along - you can find all the information you need on the AnnaBelle Stamps blog.

Take the Cake - AnnaBelle Stamps new release

This is the final set being released this month.  It's called Take the Cake:

I reckon this set is going to get used a fair bit with all of the parties the children will be attending this year!

Here's the card I made with the cupcake:

You guessed it - coloured with Copics.

If you'd like to win this set, all you need to do is leave a comment here at this post, as well as the Take the Cake post on EACH of the blogs of the design team.  Here's the list:

You have a couple of days before we draw a winner - good luck!
And the best bit of news is that all of the sets are now available for purchase from the AnnaBelle Stamps shop!  If you purchase all four of the new release sets, then you'll receive the Diva set for free.  Happy shopping!

AnnaBelle New Release - Party Animals

Calling all party animals!!

This is the third new set we are releasing at AnnaBelle Stamps this month.  It's a fun set, check it out:
This set, as well as all the other new sets this month will be available for purchase from the 21st July at the AnnaBelle Stamps shop.

I fell in love with the little mouse - here's my card:

Another long, skinny card. And yes, I coloured the image with Copics.  Warm greys for the body of the mouse.

Don't forget to leave a comment here, as well as on the Party Animals post on the blogs of EACH of the design team members to be eligible to win this set.

Good luck!

Shades of Blue

This is the challenge for July on the Scraptivate Ning. I quite like the colour blue, and I really don't work with it enough.

I chose to use some Creative Imaginations paper I picked up from Debling in Design last weekend.  Gorgeous paper!

I love this shade of light blue/teal/turquoise....whatever it's called LOL.  The ribbon is from an expensive trim shop (I like to think it's French).  It's lovely and silky.  The little frame is Melissa Frances, and the words are Darkroom Door:

As an added little detail (it's all in the details!), I stitched a tiny scrap of muslin to the bottom right hand corner, and stamped a Cavallini crown on it with grey StazOn.

Thanks for looking!

AnnaBelle Sketch #26

We continue to bring our fortnightly sketch challenges to you during our latest release celebrations :) Use this sketch to make a card, and enter it to win a cool prize.  Details can be found on the AnnaBelle Stamps blog.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

See?  I turned the sketch on its side for a bit of fun.

I used the new release set called Ballerina Rose. You've got a chance of winning the new set - check my previous post for details.

Prizes prizes everywhere!  Remember, you've got to be in it to win it!

My Heroes

I bought a set of Hero Arts stamps - some girls that will be great for colouring with my new favourite medium - Copics.  They're clear too, so that's a real bonus.

Here are a couple of cards I made with my new girls:

There's some black self adhesive diamonds on her buttons and flower centre.

Here's another:

Love that colour combo!

I had an absolute ball teaching a Copics class for Debbie of Debling in Design. I sure hope to teach there again - what a fun group of ladies!

I have another Copics class this Saturday at Little Bits - we'll be colouring hair and skin.  Give the shop a call if you're interested in attending.

New release day!

It's time for more fun and prizes at AnnaBelle Stamps.  Today I've got the first of another FOUR new sets.  This is Ballerina Rose:

Beautiful set, isn't it?  Lots of very useful sentiments too. All four new sets will be available for purchase in the AnnaBelle Stamps store from the 21st July.

My natural instinct was to colour it pink, but I thought I'd push myself a little and pink another colour.  I chose blue for my card:

Coloured with Copics of course!  Here's a close up:

Now here's where it gets really interesting.  You could win this set for yourself - all you need to do is visit each of the design team blogs and leave a little comment on their beautiful preview cards.  This will put you in the draw for this set.  Hurry though - you've only got a couple of days because then we release a new set, and there will be a new draw for that set.

To make it a little easier for you, here's the list of blogs you need to visit:

Remember to leave a comment on each of our blogs (including mine!) under the Ballerina Rose post to be eligible for the prize.  I'll be back in a couple of days with a whole new set to show you.

Say it in.....

..chocolate and orange!  That's the challenge this week at AnnaBelle Stamps.

Here's my card:

Yeah - time to start thinking about those Christmas cards!  I've used the Holly Branch stamp set and some Sprinkles in cocoa.  The holly leaves are coloured with Copics.  Here's a close up:

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to enter the sketch challenge.  There's a prize to be won and it could be you!

Copics classes

If you live in Melbourne's SE suburbs, you might be interested in a couple of Copics classes I'll be teaching in the next couple of weeks.

The first is for Debling In Design in Frankston, and this one will be on Saturday 10th July.  Contact Deb via the website.

The second is at Little Bits in Keysborough on Saturday 17th July.  We'll be looking at hair and skin techniques. You can call the shop on 03 9798 4122 during business hours to book in.

Both classes will be a heap of fun - look forward to seeing you there!

Zig Zag card

I've no idea what to call this type of card - Zig Zag will do I guess.

The idea is that Geisha Anya (are you sick of her yet? I don't think I am LOL) is on both background papers.  The message can be written on the panel behind the geisha, so that the patterned paper is not defaced.

Here's the geisha, coloured in Copics of course:

Thanks for looking!

Olive Sweet Pea

Here's another card using the Sweet Pea image I used in this post last week.

The image is called Restless Thoughts, available at Lime Tart.  I certainly hope she hasn't been snacking on those mushrooms -they'd no doubt be the cause of her restless thoughts.

I coloured the image using Copic markers, and you can't see in the photo, but I've added some Spica pen (a glitter pen) to the wings. It looks awesome IRL - but you'll have to trust me on that one.

Party People

Here's another alcohol ink background my daughter Rachel made:

I thought this Stamp It image was perfect for the background- it's from their latest release, and it's called Dancing. I picked it up (amongst a couple of other little things LOL) at Little Bits. This stamp would suit the teenage demographic, and it would be fabulous for invitations too. I'm thinking I'll get a fair bit of use out of it.

AnnaBelle Stamps Sketch #25

WOW - doesn't a fortnight go by so quickly?  It's time for yet another sketch from AnnaBelle Stamps:

Here's my card using one of the new sets, Rockin' Instrumental:

I used Copics, not to colour the actual images, but the background around them.  The darkest is W5, then W3, then W1 is the lightest.  The patterned paper is from Basic Grey.

I hope you can join us and make a card using this sketch.  You can link your creation to the AnnaBelle Stamps blog here. The prize this time will be a couple of jars of pearls.

Can you lend a hand?

One of the Stampavie girls Michelle has had a terrible accident, and has lost an eye. You can read about it here. Just imagine losing an eye!

The kind people at Stampavie are raising money to help Michelle with her medical bills (which will be huge!), and are asking for a small donation.  In return they have designed a cute little digi stamp you can grab from their blog

I do hope you'll be able to help.

Thinking of you on an alcoholic background

This card is made with one of the backgrounds my daughter Rachel made using alcohol inks.

She was thrilled that I made something with her paper :)

If you've never made one of these backgrounds before, all you need is some gloss cardstock, some alcohol inks, and some isopropyl alcohol to thin them out a little. I'm sure there's a tonne of YouTube videos to help.  They're great fun, and it's something the children can do too.

The tree stamp is Stampers Anonymous, and the words are Hero Arts.
