Stampavie Challenge #34

The challenge on the Stampavie Design Team blog this fortnight is die cuts.  Too easy (for someone like me who owns too many dies! LOL).  Here's my card:

I used two dies here - the fence is from Sullivans, and the leaves are Sizzix.  The cute little image is called Happy Piggies, and I coloured it with Copics. The little butterflies are punches and I've added a touch of Stickles to the bodies.

I cut a few of the branches out, and left the leaves sticking up for extra dimension.  Here's a side view:

Can you lend a hand?

One of the Stampavie girls Michelle has had a terrible accident, and has lost an eye. You can read about it here. Just imagine losing an eye!

The kind people at Stampavie are raising money to help Michelle with her medical bills (which will be huge!), and are asking for a small donation.  In return they have designed a cute little digi stamp you can grab from their blog.

November tartery

Here are a couple of my projects for Lime Tart.  This is the A la Tarte kit, which had sold out but is back in stock (or will be when the stamp arrives at the end of the week).

Grow with love

Here's the card I made for Stampavie's Challenge #16:


I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils, and I used papers and embellishments from my November A la Tarte kit from Lime Tart. Not surprisingly, this kit has sold out - it's beautiful - Cosmo Cricket papers and the most delicious flowers. Julie did a step by step using these flowers you really must check out - it's awesome.

Here's a close up of what I did with the same flowers and leaves:


It was like making a little corsage for the side of my card. The wires make it so easy to shape. When the hydrangea petals are folded up like that, they look a bit like sweet peas, don't they? The flowers and leaves are available for purchase in the Lime Tart store.

Ooh - and before I forget - the image I used for the card is Elodie in her garden and you guessed it - also available from Lime Tart. It was the first of many images I fell in love with from Stampavie.

Spooky Stampavie

Challenge #15 at Stampavie is Halloween. I thought this would be quite a challenge, because if you've seen the images, they're anything but scary!

Here's my card:


I used an image called Mouse, who is usually carrying a Christmas bauble. I coloured him with Copics, then cut him out carefully and made him carry a sign (a Melissa Frances Halloween sticker).

The spider web paper is from Making Memories, and the orange journaling card is from Fancy Pants.

Stampavie challenge #14

This time the challenge was to make a box. Here's what I made:


I used some Cosmo Earth Love papers - I adore these retro/vintage colours.

The image is from Stampavie, and is available at Lime Tart here in Australia. I added some adhesive pearls to the cupcake, and the image is coloured with copics. Some parts of the image are paper pieced (balloons, mouse's t shirt, cupcake icing). Here's the top of the box:

Bookmark Challenge

Here's a bookmark I made for the 12th Challenge on the Stampavie blog:


It's made like a little card, with a strip of adhesive magnet inside. See here:


The idea is to place the bookmark over the page you want to save, and the magnet helps to hold it in place. I've never lost a page with one of these bookmarks!


The image is Picnics of Daisies, available at Lime Tart, coloured with watercolours. I used Basic Grey paper from the June Bug range, some Carolee alpha stickers and a rub on from Melissa Frances.

Stampavie challenge

This is the card I made for Stampavie Challenge #11, using the colours red, orange and yellow.


I used a beautiful stamp called Mouse, and he's available at Lime Tart (when it's not sold out LOL).
I used Basic Grey Ambrosia papers, and the image is coloured with a combination of both Copics and watercolour pencils.

A little magic fairy

This is a card I made using one of the many Stampavie stamps available at Lime Tart. This one's called Lily Magic Fairy - aint she sweet?


I coloured her in using my watercolour pencils - my goodness they are fantastic! It's so easy to push colour around and create high spots. And of course these Stampavie images lend themselves to watercolouring. It's a bit hard to tell but I added some bling to the little stars that surround her.

That's some Sassafras Lass paper there - it suited Lily's colours perfectly. Oh and look - machine stitching and a button....how unusual LOL.
