Darkroom Door Compass Stamp

How wonderful it is to have another image in my "suitable for masculine cards" arsenal!  Here's the Compass Eclectic stamp in action on a travel-related card:

 

I stamped the compass in the top corner of a Wilderness Photochip, and then matched it up with the same image stamped onto some Prima Lifetime patterned paper. The quote comes from the Wilderness Vol 2 set, and the word 'freedom' is from the Wilderness Wordstrip. On the base card is the Criss Cross background stamp. I hung a little Studio Calico Mistable feather on the side, and added a Freckled Fawn woodchip word to emphasise the quote. The pointing hand is some 7Gypsies washi tape.

 

Here's the Compass image again, this time on a beach themed card:

 

The background was made with Distress Stains onto watercolour paper, and when dry, I stamped using StazOn ink in Saddle Brown.  The quote this time comes from the Seaside Vol 2 set. I added a little piece of hessian under the quote, a gessoed anchor charm and some thick twine to tie in with the nautical theme.
