With this layout, I challenged myself to use some of the Twiddleybitz Steampunk range on a layout of a girl. I usually associate Steampunk with masculine stuff, so I wanted to see if it could work with a girly piece too.
The piece I've used are Steampunk butterfly clock, gears border, Nero w/i scroll (from the Fleur de Lys kit), Twiddley Alpha Square, and some colour sprays.
Here's a close up of the butterfly:
Looks rusted, doesn't it? I started with a mustard colour acrylic paint, and then used some Colour Sprays in Black Tulip and Jaffalicious. I finished it off with some walnut Distress ink to bring out the detail in the clockface.
Thanks for stopping by.
Fab page, Teresa! Love the pouty photo and those chipboards, especially the rusty effect you created :)
ReplyDeleteWOW beautiful page! The colours, the photo...all is beautiful! Thanks for share!
ReplyDeleteYour challenge to yourself was a resounding success. This is a fabulous layout for a very sweet photo. I love the steampunk elements that work so very well with the photo and journaling. That's what it's all about. (Well that and the "Hokey Pokey". ;)
