OMG - it's been ages! Just as well I have something to show - I don't like to blog empty-handed! I've made a start to a new altered book which will end up being worked in by a talented group of ladies from ArtyOz. I've started the cover (it will end up having a little nest made on a twig branch, but I didn't want to add it yet because it has a long way to travel and it may get damaged. I'll finish it when it finally comes home in around 7 or 8 months). I used some of the most beautiful paper I have ever seen, given to me by my lovely friend Greta. I've also done the sign-in page. Each artist will sign the back of one of those tags. The theme I chose is - as you may have already guessed - elephants, no wait, birds. I can't wait to see what everyone puts into it. I think the theme may be a bit out of everyone's vintage children/Paris/vintage nude comfort zone, but I think that's when everyone's best work comes out.
That paper IS beautiful!! Who makes it? I have to get my hands on some :)
ReplyDeleteHi Julie - paper is Cavallini (of course!). They also make note cards and other things with the same design. I could have two of each thing they make, thank you very much!!
