This is before they learned how to fight, when they still gave each other hugs and kisses. Even when they're fighting, I still believe they feel loved.

 A quick and easy way to remember a wonderful day on holiday:

I sprayed the background with Glimmermist over a twirly piece of string. It matched the Sea Glass Bazzill perfectly.  Here's a close up of the pleated bit:

...and it was all yellow...

This is an ATC I've made for an alphabet swap that has been running for over two years now:

If I'm really honest, the swap has been running for over two years because some of us haven't being pulling our weight. Ahem.  You might think that I haven't got long to go - I must be up to 'Y' right? Wrong! I'm doing them out of order as inspiration strikes. That might be the problem - waiting for that elusive inspiration LOL.

For this ATC, I started by embossing some yellow cardstock, adding a couple of pieces of yellow patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket), tying a scrunched seam binding bow, adding a flower that has been sprayed with Quince Colour Spray from Twiddleybitz, and topped off with a yellow button. I then coloured a film strip image from Darkroom Door with yellow tombow, and tucked it in behind the flower.

Now to draw another letter out of the hat.....

 

Going Grey

This fortnight's challenge on the Mad for Markers Challenge blog is to use greys.  Too easy! I LOVE colouring with grey, in fact, my favourite thing to do with Copics is to make images look like photographs.

 Never too early for a Christmas card, is it?

 Actually, the only thing that makes this a Christmas card is the Basic Grey paper in the background. Put something else behind there and this card could be for anything!

Sew happy

This is one of the cards I made as a sample for the Patchwork Cards class I ran a few weeks ago:

Anyone who knows me would tell you that I don't have much patience for tiny little pieces of paper, but this paper patchworking was fun. Like a jigsaw really, and I do love jigsaws.

The sentiment had to be computer generated - would you believe that I don't own a punny sewing stamp? Yeah - something else to add to the shopping list ;)

 

Flowers for Mum

I made a flower pot to present to Mum on Sunday for Mother's Day:

I used lots of Bazzill cardstock and a couple of beautiful Spellbinder Nestabilities dies.

A double layout - wahoo!

The challenge at The Studio Challenges this fortnight is to create a double layout with at least 3 photos. Yikes! I'd never done a double layout before, so I procrastinated until I could procrastinate no more (and I'm a marathon procrastinator!).

I don't know if it's because I finally got my husband Sammy into a scrapbooking shop, or the fact that he generously paid for my purchases (I kept my shopping basket under control ha ha ha!), but this double layout was a piece of cake!  What do you think?

 

 

I used Bazzill Kraft cardstock, and some Kaiser Candy Lane papers.

The orange puffy alpha is from Thickers:

 

 

 and the white one is from Scrpaware:

I had fun adding the white string - it's stuck down in places with PVA glue.  The little rub ons dotted here and there are by Rouge de Garance, and they help add a little splash of colour.

The photos are of the girls at the beach, who seem to want to cartwheel their way through life. They'll cartwheel everywhere - even at the shops!  I've had to curb their enthusiasm a little after being on the receiving end of a few accidental kicks in the face. The beach is a good place to let them run wild though, and these photos were taken while we were on holiday late last year.
