An altered tag swap

I'm on a bit of a hiatus at the moment - hospital stay, operation yada yada, and frustratingly I'm not getting much crafting done. These are some tags I put together for a swap a couple of weeks ago before I went in:

I used my 6x6 Gelli Plate and some acrylic paints to make the backgrounds before sponging some gesso through a stencil. Then I cut a window with a Spellbinders die to place over the book page and image, and finally added some flowers and seam binding. Here's a close up:

They do appear to be upside down, but when I get the returns from the swap I plan to bind them in one of these doovies from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology line:

Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Ruler Binding

All of this writing has me worn out - back to bed for me. Thanks for looking!

  1. Hope your feeling better soon Teresa. These are beautiful love the soft colours and the lovely flowers. That little image peeking out of the window certainly catches your eye!

  2. All the best for your recovery, Teresa. A bit odd to be on this side of the hospital system eh?
I'm also having to go on a crafting fast while we live in a motel for a month - or longer - while the house gets its earthquake repairs. I thought I had brought a basic kit with me, but keep 'needing' things that got left behind. Grr, Glad to get the repairs done tho & hopefully get back to normal before too long.
Anyway, I love the ATCs, and wish you well for your recovery
