Masquerading as a normal person

I'm loving the new quote stamps from Darkroom Door. One in particular caught my eye:

 

 

Don't you just love it! It's called Masquerade, and I can see it getting a bit of a work out ;)

I painted some watercolour paper with black acrylic paint and stamped the quote with white ink. I added some spatter white Dylusions, and hung a couple of charms on the side. The skull started as a little silver plastic ring - I cut the back off it to make it flat and then gave it a coat of gesso. I heated it with my heat gun, and the gesso crackled just like I knew it would (no I didn't! It was a happy accident, but I love it!)
