Faux postage with Darkroom Door

Faux postage was something I had never tried.  It was a huge trend right before I got hooked on stamping, and something that looked like a heap of fun.
Along come the new Postal Frame stamps from Darkroom Door - they're available in 3, 6 or 12 individual 'stamps'.  Here's what I did with the 12:

This involved some masking, sponging and finally stamping. It was fun pulling all the small images and words from various sets to make this sheet. I then ran it through the sewing machine without any thread in it to created the perforations. Fun! Hence the card:

I stamped part of the Criss-Cross background onto the patterned paper, and stamped the word from the Whimsical Words set. Finally, I attached a strip of my faux stamps to the front of the card with a decorative paper clip.

I'm looking forward to making heaps more faux postage stamps - imagine the fun we're going to have on the next school holidays!
