Japanese Calligraphy Cards

It was lovely taking a little break from Christmas crafting today. I pulled out my new Darkroom Door Japanese Calligraphy stamp set and got busy.

Here's a thank you card, with a banner made from scraps of brightly coloured silk:

And here's a card for someone going through a rough time. I made the background with acrylic paints and then stamped the big background calligraphy from the set in dark purple.  I then added some touches of gold using Inka Gold

On this last card, I stamped the geisha from the Kimono Vol 2 stamp set, masked her, then stamped the calligraphy background.

Hope you've enjoyed my little Oriental break.  Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Gorgeous Oriental creations - my absolute favourite is those silken scrap banners - amazing!

  2. Sensational Teresa. The scrap banner is a wonderful idea.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave me some love!
