more banner cards

Here are another few cards we made in the Banners class I taught at Little Bits.

For this card, we made the banners using some scalloped circles we die cut using Nestabilities, then folded in half over a piece of twine. The sentiment is from the Darkroom Door Viva La Flora Vol 2 set.

For the next card, we stamped the banner from The Girl's Paperie Jubilee set, then stamped it again and cut out some extra pennants to fit in the gaps. A little twine and some bling, and the card was done:

I spent a good evening making metres and metres of the butterfly trim for this next card. I punched hundreds of little butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch, and then ran them through my sewing machine one at a time with a few stitches in between:

This type of trim can be made with just about any punched shape. Makes for pretty original cards, don't you think? The hardest bit was finding some colourful paper with small patterns on it. This paper is by Kaiser.

Thanks for dropping in today :)

  2. What a fantastic idea making the trim. I'm going to have to try that myself.
