Let's go to the hop

Yaaaay! It's my turn to show a project on this weekend's

TWIDDLEYBITZ BLOG HOP!

Along with a plethora of chipboard products, Twiddleybitz also cut things from MDF and wood. I used one of these wooden products for my blog hop project - it's the small Winged Heart Shadow Box:

I painted it using some special copper paint my friend Lynne gave me (thanks Lynne!), and then I sprayed it with the patina spray. Seeing as it's made of wood, I didn't have to worry about the piece warping. I added a Fleur de Lys in copper for contrast right at the top there. The photo is a black and white of my daughter Rachel's tiny feet when she was just six weeks old.

Here's a close up of the bottom right:

I made the little cherub medallion with some air dry clay, and painted it with the same copper paint. I just added less patina.; And what project of mine would be complete without a flower of some sort?; These roses are Prima and Green Tara. The little sticker letters are Adorn It.

This was a fun, quick project to put together - and unbelievably easy to assemble.

Now, if you'd like to leave me a little comment before midnight Monday (check the clock in my sidebar), I'll enter your name in the draw to win a little pack of my favourite pieces of Twiddleybitz chipboard. I'll announce the winner on Tuesday morning.

If you're in a prize draw mood, pop over to the Twiddleybitz Ning (scroll down under the photos for the forum), where you'll find more information about our blog hop as well as more opportunities to win some prizes.Let's face it, I don't think there will ever be a time in my life when I won't want more chipboard LOL.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you enjoyed looking at my project.  The next stop on the Twiddleybitz Blog Hop is the blog of the uber talented Jilly.  She'll have a totally awesome project to show you from 6pm tonight.
Happy Hopping people!!
