A giveaway!
Anyway, I reckon it's about time for a giveaway. Leave me a comment here at this post, and tell me how many images I designed are in this coming release. I can give you a clue: the number is less than 10 and a little more than 8.

Christmas in July
I notice my more organised friends have already made a start to their Christmas cards. Naturally, I 'm not among them!
I'm too busy playing and trying out new products and designs. Here's one card I made using some Flair papers, some fabric, some ribbon, a button and some Odd Bird Planet stamps.
This sheet has several vintage style Christmas themes on it, so it could be made into a number of cards easily. The ribbon is by 7gypsies (I think).

up late again
no particular reason - just blurfing and reflecting on what a great day it was today.
I took the children to the museum (again!) after dropping Sammy off at work at a careers expo. They looooove the museum - there's so much to see, and I try and concentrate on a different area every time we go so it always seems fresh to them.
It was funny on Friday - Jake invited his little friend to go with us, and his reply was "I've already been." There was this akward silence then - his friend not understanding why you'd ever want to go to the museum again, and Jake not understanding why anyone wouldn't want to go back again and again. He he.
Anyway - wanna see even more new images? The first one is by me:
and it also comes in an all-seasons option without the writing. I drew this with the idea of putting some little critters inside it poking out the top.

A little house for Greta
It was my friend Greta's birthday aaaages ago, and I feel really bad I haven't made her a card. I did however, make time to build her this little house:

It kind of fits in with the gnome theme that's happening ATM. Can't wait to colour the mushroom in red with white spots.

A week's worth of fun
WOW - what a week!
School holidays finished and the children are back at school- I have mixed feelings about that. I got sick of the constant sibling squabbling, but then again, I won't be getting any more of this:
yeah.......breakfast in bed. This particular preparation was by my 5 year old Rachel - the beautifully arranged segments of mandarine on a bed of honey on toast. Or so I thought - the bread wasn't actually toasted, which was quite a surprise for my delicate palate. Isn't it beautiful? I must say the combination of honey and mandarine is ........um........ interesting.
I got to catch up with some friends on Saturday at Liz's house. Greta, Jenny and Sarah were also there, and after a little bit of show and tell and mucking about, we went to a junk shop. I took the camera with the idea of taking photos of us shopping (something we do very well!), but all I got was an interesting back room at the junk shop before the battery ran out. I blame Jenny - "hey Teresa, look at this - how good is your flash? No, not yours, the camera's." Here is one of the photos, which turned out great despite it being very very dark:
Blogger is playing up, and not letting me upload any more photos, so I'm going to take my bat and ball and go home. I'll be back as soon as Blogger finishes it's tantrum!!

Bumper Gallery
With all the new additions to the design team working with Lime Tart kits, this month's Lime Tart gallery is just bursting at the seams! I really should say 'galleries' because Philippa has had to split it up into 3 - one gallery for each kit. Click here to see the delicious goodness. What a talented bunch of girls!
I think this month's A la Tarte kit will hold a special place in my heart because it contains the first stamps I designed for Odd Bird Planet - the banner and the banner frame. They are available through Lime Tart here in Australia, and Odd Bird Planet in the US.

I love Paris........
I made this ATC for another swap (I am a self-confessed swap junkie!). For this type of swap, the hostess Greta sends us all the same image to incorporate into an ATC. I love getting the returns, it always amazes me the endless possibilites an image can have.
This is some old patterned paper I had from GKW. I just love the colours in it. On it I stamped Tim Holtz's clock in Cranberry ink, the Eiffel tower stamp (Studio Astarte), the text behind the girl is by Collections, and the word Paris I gold embossed is out of one of my favourite Cavallini sets. I also stamped the brown cardstock with another Tim Holtz stamp.
Voila! You know I had to add that word!

Birds of a feather
That was the name of a swap I joined with a bunch of Aussie and international gals:
For my ATCs, I made an acrylic paint background with a credit card technique using red, pink and white acrylic paint as well as gesso. Then I stamped the Tim Holtz clock with grey Adirondak ink (it went all funny and interesting - sort of ghosty and mauve - WEEEEIRD!). The bird is from Papercraft Studios, and it stamped up beautifully with black Versafine ink. This stamp came from a clear unmounted set I won a couple of months back. I was so excited to finally get to use it :)
Next I cut the banner from old text, stamped the word with an alphabet set, and finished it off with a hand-drawn border.
I just can't wait to see what the other girls have come up with!

I'm expecting some visitors today - some very very good friends are finally coming to see the house. I said I wasn't going to be doing tours of the house once we'd been here 12 months (and that's in just 8 days), so these friends just made it! I feel a bit bad, but the fact that we haven't caught up with each other for that long is testament to how busy our lives have become. I'll just enjoy their company all the more because it is so precious.
