Oh boy - a giveaway!!

Giveaway has been given away - click here for details. Thanks for your interest!

Thanks to Johanna at Odd Bird Planet, and Philippa from Lime Tart, I'm thrilled to offer one lucky blog reader a fabulous prize! It's a bundle of my favourite stamps! This is in celebration of Lime Tart kits being made available in the US through Odd Bird Planet.

So, here's what's in the bundle:

Pretty impressive, right? Here's what you need to do to be in the running:

1 Register on the Lime Tart website (up the top where it says Log In). You don't need to do this again if you already receive the Lime Tart newsletter.
2 Post details of the comp on your blog, linking back to this post. If you don't have a blog........why don't you have a blog? Seriously - if you don't have a blog then link back to this post on a messageboard somewhere, or an online group where you are a member.
3 Then come back to this post and leave a comment.

I'll do a lucky draw on the 11th of July, the day after Melissa draws her competition.
In fact, if you pop over to Melissa's blog now, you'll see a little sneak peek of one of the Lime Tart kits. Here's another:

I cannot wait for release day! You'll get details of the date in the Lime Tart newsletter he he.

Are you into guessing games?

There's one going on here at Splitcoast. Everyone's taking guesses on the BIG announcement. It has something to do with Odd Bird Planet and Lime Tart...........what do you think it might be?

Meanwhile, here are some photos of what I did with the June A La Tarte kit. There are more photos up in the gallery here too, along with the work of the other members of the dt. Enjoy!

mo' cheese

Here are some more cards I made using the odd bird planet's limited edition kits (see here and here):

This first card holds the record for most stamps used on the one card LOL. Doesn't it remind you of a real family photo - one person always has their eyes shut, another is covering their face, yet another (usually a boy) has his legs in the air for no good reason.

This next card is a quick and simple one - I had my paper edge distresser out, and boy did it get a workout!

And this last one is an old photo included in the kit, of a family at the beach. If anyone swims out too far and gets caught in a rip, fear not! Owl save you! (yeah, I know - that was a dad joke).

Say Cheese!

That's the name of the new limited edition kit available at justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet. It's available in bright or vintage colours, it has a variety of papers and embellishments and included is a bunch of stamps - most of which are UNMOUNTED! Woo hoo! (I'm thrilled because I'm having issues with storage of stamps.)

Here's a card I made with the vintage kit:

I'll be back with a few more samples soon.

A fine owl time!

There are a tonne of challenges happening over here as part of Owl Week. If Johanna hasn't posted a winner for a particular challenge, that means it's still open. You have until Sunday night (US time - so that's even longer for us Aussies!). Go ahead - you never know your luck!

Alterations

We were sent some photos this month to alter using justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet stamps. Here's what I came up with:

Obviously IRL it's not standing on its side - that was blogger.com getting senile! I'll try posting it again tomorrow - right way up this time.

This first one I've titled "Priscilla's window". Priscilla is the cheeky cat, looking innocent but up to no good. I've also used the Lacy Border stamp on the curtain, and outside the painted chipboard window frame are rows of houses you may recognise from the Aldenville stamp.

The photo in this second one is a B&W of someone's dusty old kitchen bench. Add some pink, a tiny cupcake, a little fairy chicklet and some Stickles, and it sure doesn't look dusty and old! I've also used Michelle's little scroll and Dotty Corner in the background, together with some tulle and a scrap of pink gingham fabric.

This was a fun project indeed!

14!

Remember this post? Well, I never did become a covergirl. I did however get some cards published in this issue:

How many cards? Well, check out the title of this post. Yep, 14! 14 cards - wow!

I sent some cards in aaaages ago, and around 6 months ago, I was contacted and asked if I could submit some more cards using the credit card background technique I had used. No problem I said! Along with the cards they asked for, I sent along some other cards that were just lying around. Voila!

Gee, the editor at Take Ten really knows how to make someone's day. I've been in such a good mood all day, people around me are getting suspicious.

Guess who's just turned 2

June 3 marked the second birthday of justjohanna rubber stamps. I can't believe this little company has achieved so much in so little time! From justjohanna to Odd Bird Planet in just two short years.....read all about it here.

This is a little card I whipped up to celebrate the occasion. I used Brigitte right and left, and happy birthday, as well as some bright polka dot ribbon, a feather, some felt flowers and a couple of tiny buttons.

Happy Birthday justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet! Thank you for all you've added to my world.

Even more news

It just gets better. justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet has now become a member company at Splitcoast Stampers. You can pop in to the forum there and say hi to stampers from all over the globe.

A wiki has also been started. What on earth is a wiki? Read all about it here, and then go play here. If you like telling a story, you're more than welcome to pop in and edit away! There's also a section there for sentiment suggestions and image ideas too. Go ahead - get your feet wet!

And now, back to me. This is the bit I've been waiting to tell people about for ages - a couple of my designs were made into stamps!! Woo hoooooooo. Here they are:

It gives me such a buzz to see them used by the design team! I'll be back soon with some samples of my own to show real soon. I've just got to steady my hand as I use these particular stamps for the first time - I'M EXCITED!

These stamps as well as all the other new release designs are available at Lime Tart in Australia as well as Odd Bird Planet in the US.

What's happened to justjohanna?

Not much, and then a whole lot at the same time.

Coinciding with a new release of stamps (see them here), is a name change. That's right - the company formerly known as justjohanna will now be called:

Click on the pic to explore the new look site.

It's an exciting time for the company - lots of new things coming, so stay tuned.
